Arewa Youth Makes U-Turn On Quit Notice To Ndigbo
The Coalition of Northern Youth group (Arewa Youths) who on Tuesday, ordered Igbos residing in any part of North to evacuate has released a video to reverse the threat.
It can be recalled the group had also directed northerners residing in the East to within three months relocate back to the North.
According to an earlier statement issued by the spokesman of the group, AbdulAziz Suleiman while briefing newsmen in Kaduna, he declared:

But in retraction of the initial statement, the Presidents of Arewa Consultative Forum Youth Congress, Comrade Yerima Shetima and Chief Isaac Balami were seen in a video footage reassuring everyone that they stand for one Nigeria hence, no cause for panic.
Balami who gave the speech said the Northern group had observed how the issue was being discussed globally, adding that the groups will create a platform to discuss the outrage and condemnation trailing the eviction threat.
His words:
“This is not the time for us to discuss separation. We need to come together. Arewa Youths is known for peace.
“It is obvious that the initial approach was not the best. We need to work together as a nation
“I want to tell Nigerians living at home and in diaspora that there is hope. This nation is going nowhere.
“Shettima here wants to assure that everything that he has done was in good faith. This is one Nigeria and we are going nowhere.”
