Full Video: Robbery Attack at Zenith Bank Owerri

A four-man armed robbery gang on February 22, 2017, stormed and attacked a Zenith Bank Owerri branch – Wetheral road Owerri, Imo state capital. Brave Mopol Who Killed One Of The Robbers In Owerri zenith Bank Robbery Is Dead

Most talked about event this week is a three-minute video of a bank robbery in Owerri, the Imo state capital after it was shared online. See the Owerri bank robbery video here. Many folks online have been asking about the welfare of The hero in the video, the policeman who gunned down one of the robbers. It is sad to report to you that the brave officer who engaged the robbers died in April.. He has been identified as Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko. The spokesperson for the Imo State police command, Andrew Enwerem revealed to PUNCH that the brave sergeant died while he was in intensive care in April, that is two months after he engaged the robbers in a gun battle in February. Andrew revealed that two other policemen were also present in the security post during the shootout and they sustained gunshot injuries. “They were in intensive care for up to two months. Young Military Officer Mistaken For Armed Robber Lynched And Burnt To Death By Mob

A military officer with the (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra was on Monday, May 29th, lynched by residents of Denkyira Boaso of the Central region who mistook him for an armed robber.

Captain Maxwell Mahama who is commander of a military detachment in the area was jogging along the Denkyira Boaso-Diaso road when he asked some women for direction. He was not in a uniform.

The women reportedly called the Assembly man who organized the youths of the town to lynch him. They later burnt his body.

Meanwhile, Ghana Armed Forces have commenced investigations into the murder. The incident has sent heightened anxiety within the town after the perpetrators of the heinous crime realised the deceased was a military man on official duty.

The Armed Forces in a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations, Col. Aggrey-Quarshie said a fact-finding team led by the Chief of Army Staff is proceeding to the area to gather more information about the development.
